Zoolab visits Greengables Care Home
Residents at HC-One’s Greengables Care Home in Congleton enjoyed a visit from some unusual animals when Zoo Lab visited the home.
Colleagues at Greengables organised for the Zoo Lab to visit the Residents with exotic animals including a snake, bat, tarantula and even some creepy crawlies such as millipedes.
The Zoo Lab representatives have a lovely relationship with the Residents and took the animals around the room giving each Resident the opportunity to touch and hold them. All the Residents were keen to get involved and really enjoyed holding the unusual creatures.
The visit from the Zoo lab is a really enjoyable and therapeutic experience for the Residents and they are looking forward to a future visit from the Zoo lab.
HC-One Greengables Care Home Manager, Amanda Kilinscarslan, said:
“It is great to have such an unusual activity at Greengables, and we are definitely keen for Zoo Lab to visit us again.”
“The Residents had a brilliant time with all the animals, and it was lovely that they all got involved with the activity.”

HC-One Area Director, Ian Tetley, said:
“Zoo Lab’s visit to Greengables sounds like an excellent activity, and it’s great to hear that the Residents has such a good time!”
