100th birthday celebrations at Coalville care homeCelebrations were in full swing at HC-One’s The Rowans care home in Coalville, Leicestershire as Resident Arthur was thrown a special party for his 100th birthday.

Born in Leicestershire on 12th October 1919, Arthur Bevin enjoyed a vast career in the army as he served across the globe, including Africa, Greece and Italy.

Arthur married his wife, Peggy, who also lives at The Rowans care home. The pair, who will be celebrating their 77th wedding anniversary next month, had one son, Paul, two grandsons and two great grandchildren.

Jodie Robinson, Home Manager at The Rowans, said: “At HC-One, we are committed to helping our Residents celebrate their milestone occasions in the most special way possible

“Arthur is a lovely gentleman and such an inspiration to the whole team at The Rowans, as well as his fellow Residents. It was amazing for our team to help him celebrate his 100th birthday alongside his loved ones.”
