100th birthday celebrations for Hinckley care home ResidentCelebrations were in order at HC-One’s Hinckley Park Care Home, as Resident Alice was turning 100 years of age.

Alice has always had many a story to tell, from how she was evacuated during the war, to her family life which included a husband who especially loved fancy dress parties, as well as her four children, eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren!

Family visited from all around the country – and world – as Alice’s granddaughter visited from Portugal after going through the necessary quarantine and testing procedures. Alice enjoyed visits both indoors and at the window, as she was showered with love and several bouquets of flowers which were delivered to her throughout the day.

A delicious cake was made by the kitchen team as Alice was given her wonderful gifts, including a delivery from Buckingham Palace in the form of a 100th birthday card.

Alice remarked: “I have had a lovely day! Thank you to all who have made it special.”
