104th Birthday Party for St Christophers ResidentEveryone at HC-One’s St Christophers care home, in Hatfield, were celebrating one very special Resident who turned 104!

Eileen, who was born in 1916, woke up in the morning to a big stack of cards which Colleagues opened with her. Then she had a phone call with her son Fred and they had a lovely chat which Eileen thoroughly enjoyed.

Later in the day, Eileen had a special birthday lunch; then it was time to party!

One Colleague described, “We started with a few rounds of ‘Pass the Parcel’, obviously Eileen won the first round and won the Teddy, which she is pictured with. She spent the majority of the party dancing with him!”

“Eileen wore a crown for the special day and we decorated the conservatory so it was fit for our Queen.”

The kitchen made a wonderful buffet which was enjoyed by all, as well as a magnificent birthday cake, which Eileen thoroughly enjoyed.

She ate, drank, danced and sung her way right to the end. After the party she enjoyed a special visit from her granddaughter with even more presents!

Eileen said the whole day was wonderful.

Alexandra Gough, wellbeing Colleague, said, “We wish you a very Happy Birthday Eileen! What a wonderful afternoon full of laughter!
