98th Birthday wishes for Clarendon Hall Resident FloDespite the lockdown, Colleagues at Clarendon Hall care home in Humberston, Lincolnshire, surprised Resident Florence ‘Flo’ Thompson today with a cake and cards to celebrate her 98th birthday.

Staff gathered around in the lounge to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to her, which resulted in smiles all round.

Flo’s daughter came for a window visit, which really made her day special. Later in the afternoon, everyone had a little party and were singing along to the smart speaker. Their favourite part was of course sharing the cake!

"Look, I even did her hair in the salon, to make her look extra nice on her special day" Hayley, part of the wellbeing team, explained to other Colleagues.

The day went well and everyone seemed to enjoy wishing the birthday lady well on her special day.

"She looks so happy, I'm sure she's loving the attention", Resident Ann had observed.

"What a beautiful cake, I wonder if there will be enough for the staff to have a slice?" Colleague Miriam got her hopes up for a slice of the divine cake!
