A 1940s tea party at Westbury care homeResidents enjoyed a 1940s themed afternoon tea today at HC-One’s The Westbury care home in Wiltshire.

They were treated to sandwiches, battenburg and Victoria sponge cake, along with endless cups of tea, all set to a soundtrack of 1940s music.

Betty, a Resident of the home, said: “I loved the big band music the most because it reminds me of my grandfather.

“He used to play the trumpet.”

It was an excellent event with food and music that gave Residents the opportunity to transport themselves back in time.

Residents talked about their favourite memories of childhood food and swapped stories of growing up.
