Colleagues and Residents at HC One’s Church View care home, paid their respects on Remembrance Day.
Everyone at the Caerphilly care home take Remembrance Day very seriously and wanted to make sure that it was honoured.
The Residents really enjoyed an arts and crafts session, creating poppy wreaths. Resident Valerie made a beautiful wreath which was made to remember her eldest brother who lost his life during the war.
Valerie reminisced about the time her mother opened a telegram which told them about her brother Idwal. It was a very sombre but lovely morning to hear stories from the Residents and what had happened to those they loved who had been a part of the war.
