A relaxing sensory garden afternoon in DudleyIf there is one good thing about the weather at the moment, it is that Residents get to spend more time outdoors, exploring what the care home grounds have to offer, looking at wildlife and generally just enjoying a little fresh air.

Himley Mill care home located in the West Midlands has a beautiful sensory garden outdoors completed with all sorts of wonderful features including a variety of different plants, shrubs and vegetables as well as a bridge and seating area. It offers a place of tranquillity and relaxation for anyone who enters; Colleagues, Relatives and Residents alike.

Today Residents enjoyed looking at the garden, picking sweet-peas and smelling the lavender while chatting about gardens.

Resident Sue Burns said it was very relaxing, nice to be outside and enjoyed admiring the flowers.

Home Manager, Kelly Smith, said, “It is wonderful to see our Residents making use of the grounds at Himley Mill. The sensory garden is a place to enjoy the summer sun.”
