An ice-cream treat for Northwich care home ResidentsResidents at Avandale Lodge residential and residential memory care home, in Lostock Gralam, had a treat today from the local ice-cream van.

Everyone waited patiently at the window for the ice-cream van to arrive and went straight to grab some delicious sweet treats.

Some of the ladies at the home sat on the benches after receiving their ice cream, while others preferred to sit inside eating theirs. They enjoyed a good chat with Sophie, the owner of the ice-cream van. Sophie said she had loved meeting Residents and would like to come back in the next couple of weeks to see them again and provide a free ice cream for all!

Everyone enjoyed being outside in the sun and eating their ice-creams, as well as having a chat with each other. Joyce, who lives at the home, commented, “I really enjoyed eating that!”

Fellow Resident, Fred, added, “Thanks for the ice-cream, it was lovely.”

Steve, Care Home Manager, remarked, “What a lovely treat, it was lovely to see our Residents’ smiles.”
