Armed Forces Day at Guisborough care homeResidents and team members came together at HC-One’s Park House care home in Guisborough to celebrate Armed Forces Day.

Armed Forces Day was held on Saturday 26th June and supports for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community. The team arranged some special activities for the Residents, they had two ‘land army’ girls planting in the garden as they would have done during the war.

Later in the afternoon, Residents gathered in the lounge for a singalong of traditional wartime songs, everyone waved their flags and clapped along to the music. The highlights were singing Land of Hope and Glory as well as the national anthem.

Park House Home Manager, Julie Woods said: “It was a wonderful day celebrating the service of the armed forces community, a great day was had by all at Park House.”
