Ashton care home stay in touch with RelativesResidents at HC One’s Amerind Grove care home have been keeping in touch with their loved ones.

The Ashton care home is currently on lockdown, which means that the Residents are unable to have visits with their loved ones.

Not being able to see loved ones is very hard, and everyone at the home realise that keeping in touch is of paramount importance. The staff need to assist Residents so they can keep in touch regularly with their families and friends.

Each community has an allocated iPad which is used specifically for that community. The iPads are used for face time visits with Relatives.

The Residents and their loved ones are so happy to have this time and see one another. It is important that during these difficult and busy times that we make the time to assist our residents keep in touch.

One Resident commented “thank-you so much, it is lovely to see them”, and another said “I miss them so much, I loved seeing them.”

The home manager said “Very proud of all the hard work and care that has gone into supporting our resident keep in touch with their loved ones.”
