At Hurst Hall residential and residential memory care home, on Tameside, everyone celebrated one of the Residents’ reaching an impressive centenary milestone birthday.
Frieda Nicolson turned 100 and made the most of a wonderful day which was organised by Colleagues at the home.
She was surprised and showered with cards, flowers, a letter from the Queen. Plus, one of her close friends and designated visitor, turned up in a top hat and tails for the occasion! (see pictured)
Frieda was absolutely thrilled and there was not a dry eye in the home.
Deborah Finlay, Care Home Manager, commented, “Seeing Frieda smile and reading the letter from the Queen were definitely the highlights of my day.”
“The original plan was to take Frieda to London, hopefully that can be arranged when she reaches 101!”
