Residents from HC-One’s Beaconsfield Court care home in Barnard Castle enjoyed a holiday to Crimdon Dene Holiday Park in North Hartlepool in September.
During a Resident’s Meeting, it was suggested that a mini break would be something nice to do before the cold weather hits, the team took the Resident’s suggestion on board and researched local holiday parks.
Beaconsfield Court booked three days in Crimdon Dene Holiday Park in mid-September and Residents took turns visiting the holiday park for the day. The home fundraised for the trip so that Residents could enjoy their mini break to the fullest, the groups enjoyed a traditional fish and chip lunch by the seaside, followed by bingo in the onsite clubhouse.
Residents reminisced about their favourite holiday destinations and memories from their younger days. One Resident commented: “What a wonderful mini holiday, thank you for bringing me and making it such a special day.”
Beaconsfield Court Home Manager, Laura Langridge said: “I am delighted we were able to organise a mini break for our Residents, the smiles on their faces when they returned really said it all.”
