Bath Resident take part in Christmas craftsResidents on the Alexander Heights unit at Avonpark care home, in Somerset, took part in a rather different painting activity today by reusing and recycling.

Having collected lots of empty toilet roll cardboard holders, Colleagues decided to put on an activity where Residents could paint them and turn them into Christmas decorations.

“We made some santas, a reindeer, a snowman and a Christmas tree.  Dorothy was enjoying herself so much, she then decided to paint a picture!” Explained Cody who was leading on the activity with help from Carer, Jo, and Housekeeper, Dave.

Along with the activity, Colleagues played Christmas songs and the Residents were singing along and had a lovely time coupled with a coffee, tea and even a glass of wine!

Mitchelo Kalengo, Home Manager, said, “All we could hear from the room was singing and laughing. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the painting activity.”
