McVities Tastie biscuits set a challenge to care homes to find the UK’s best decorated biscuit champion. At HC-One’s Thamesfield, they decided they were up to the challenge.
The Residents spent a fun afternoon decorating biscuits with icing, sprinkles, silver spray, eyes and flowers. The results were fantastic and, above all, the Residents really enjoyed it and were surprised at what they could achieve. The themes chosen were ‘afternoon with my family’, ‘delights and memories’ and ‘embrace’.
Now the home will wait and see if they are the winner of the £1000 special afternoon package. Fingers crossed.
Residents Ernie Brawn, Alma Earl, Judy Pyle and Jean Young all had to creatively use their imagination. One commented, “We didn't expect it to be such fun.”
Another Resident said, “(I) hope we win, that would be fantastic.”
Lina Nela, Home Manager, said, “The biscuits looked amazing, the residents put in so much effort and had so much fun.”
