Bishopsgate Lodge care home Residents enjoy a pamper sessionResidents at HC-One’s Bishopsgate Lodge care home in Bishop Auckland have enjoyed a fresh haircut thanks to an ex-hairdresser at the home.

Alex Carr, a Care Assistant at Bishopsgate Lodge, used to be a hairdresser before she joined the team in Bishop Auckland, so she has taken over the reins in the salon, allowing only one Resident in at a time to make it as safe as possible.

Residents were thrilled that they didn’t have to wait any longer for a touch up and thanked Alex for her service and making the Residents feel safe.

One Bishopsgate Lodge Resident said: “Thank you to Alex for making me look a bit tidier!”

With the coronavirus lockdown meaning that visitors are no longer allowed to the home, the staff in the home have been amazing in stepping up to do different jobs.

Bishopsgate Lodge Home Manager Sarah Rigby explained: “A lot of our Residents visit our salon, we have hairdressers visits twice a week, Pam and Angela, so its nice that Alex could fill in for them.”
