Black History Month learning at Bolton care homeResidents at HC One’s Meadowbank House have been learning all about Black History this October.

For black history month the Bolton care home enjoyed a lovely afternoon listening to African and Caribbean music, learning traditional African dance moves and sharing stories of African heritage and counties visited.

Residents and staff drank Jamaican ginger beer and ate halal lamb and chicken patties which the Residents found extremely delicious.

Colleagues and Residents at the home looked at everyday things that everyone uses that where invented by black people such as traffic lights, elevator, the lift, light bulb and many more and talked about these.

The Residents had a great time learning about new cultures and trying the different food and drink.
