In celebration of the Queen’s birthday, Residents at
Meadow Bank House residential and nursing care home, in Great Lever, have been revisiting vital momentous moments in her life that shaped her into the wonderful Queen that they admire and love.
Residents also reflected on their “inner Queen” that everyone has, of course; the qualities that we like about ourselves. Everyone shared words of affirmations to each other and to themselves and placed it in a box to revisit in the future, whenever they need to.
Residents, including Maureen, Elsie, Margaret, Irene and Mary, particularly enjoyed practising words of affirmations to each other.
Jane Green, Care Home Manager, remarked, “We noticed the great impact it had on individuals. People seem to be more alert and overall happy for the remaining of the day.”
