Boston care home chef makes beautiful Union Jack cake for VE DayFor VE Day celebrations this year, the chef at HC-One’s Elmwood House care home in Boston created an amazing Union Jack cake for Residents.

Elmwood House chef Rob is keen to mix things up in the kitchen when big events are coming up. For VE Day, Rob thought it would be a great idea to make a big Union Jack cake for Residents and Colleagues to enjoy during their celebrations.

As well as this, Rob also made a big Woolton Pie for Residents, which many of them used to enjoy in their younger days.

Residents were over the moon with the cake and the pie and thought the cake was beautiful and that Rob always manages to pull it out the bag.

Set within the wider setting of Park Place, a private, age-exclusive, independent village in Boston, Lincolnshire, Elmwood House is a beautiful, 48 bed care home that offers residential and nursing care.
