Residents at HC One’s Avonpark have been kept busy with different games including skittles and scrabble.
Residents from Fountain Place took part in a socially distanced game of skittles, with the help of wellbeing coordinator Tash. The Residents at the Boston home had plenty of fun throwing the ball at the skittles.
On another day Residents joined in with some games of scrabble. One of the Residents, Jennifer, has struggled with this game since having a couple of strokes however the home have been slowly helping her to build her confidence again by playing scrabble often.
Jennifer is a very intelligent lady and has been enjoying playing often, and is now getting much quicker at putting down her tiles. She is slowly building her confidence back up and appreciates having someone to take the time to play with her.
Both games are great ways of stimulating the Residents brains and keeping them active.
