Colleagues from HC One’s Elmwood House care home decided to transform a special bench which has been a part of the home for 9 years.
In 2011 the Boston care home had a lovely bench donated in memory of one of their Residents.
It has always been in the garden so has become weathered over the years. Due to this one of the staff members, Amber, was able to contact the family who donated the bench.
The family member was delighted to hear from the home and was very grateful that staff called to ask, and she was over the moon that it was still being well looked after.
With the blessing from the family member, Amber then got to work transforming the bench by sanding it down and giving it a lick of paint. The bench is now a beautiful focal point.
