Bringing the theatre to us at Surrey care homeIf you can’t go to the theatre, why not bring the theatre to you? That’s exactly what Residents at Kettlewell House care home did today as they had a virtual Zoom visit from the Rah Rah theatre company.

Performers put on wonderful show called ‘Online Antics’ that included songs, a singalong, jokes and a quiz which got everyone involved.

Residents including Jeanne, Margaret, Sherbaz, Pauline, Trevor and Viv enjoyed a glass of bubbles and a box of popcorn to get in the theatre mood. Jeanne said she needed that after the show and singing!

After the show, Residents and staff carried on playing favourite music and did a singalong which was really fun and tested out everyone’s singing voices. Residents gave song suggestions and loved hearing their song played loud on the TV.

Home Manager, Kate Patterson, said, “We enjoyed having them (the theatre company) in via Zoom and made the most of their company. Obviously, it wasn’t the same as the previous show they performed for us in the house, however it was a nice refreshing and uplifting singalong for everyone to do together”.
