Grace was the oldest living person in the UK and she lived happily at HC One’s Brompton House until she was 112 years old.
In honour of her positive spirit and love for life, Colleagues at the Broadway home launched the "Grace Jones positivity in care award" last year, which was a great success.
This year was even bigger and better. The home had over 300 votes cast, with 110 going to the winner, Jill Knight.
The local community is aware of the in-house award and the prestigious Lygon Arms hotel very generously donated a Champagne afternoon tea for two as one of the prizes.
The home host a party to celebrate what would have been Grace’s birthday, and to salute the award winning staff too, which all of the Residents thoroughly enjoyed.
The home manager said “After such a difficult few months, this award has really lifted everyone's spirits and morale.”
