Caerphilly care home Residents enjoy a fruit-themed FridayResidents have enjoyed a very fruity Friday this week at HC-One’s Church View care home in Caerphilly.

A day of fruit, music and even fruity bingo was the perfect way to cheer Residents up and put a spring in their step on this cold winter’s day.

Residents enjoyed delicious fruit smoothies and chilled watermelon slices as they listened to music inspired by the Rio Carnival.

Laughter filled Church View as Residents played fruity bingo, waiting for their bananas or apples to be called out and shouting out “fruit salad” as loud as they could when they completed a full house.

It was a day of fun and noise but held a serious underlying message about making sure that Residents are choosing to eat healthy food and plenty of fruit and vegetables for vitamins.

Residents ended a very fruity day with their choice of fruit flan topped with a few chocolate sprinkles after a day of healthy eating. They washed their delicious flan down with their favourite fruit juice, topped up with a dash of lemonade as a treat.

Church View Home Administrator, Kath Shorney, commented: “How nice and bright the day was!”
