Care home hairdressing returns for Tameside ResidentsOver the last two days, residential care home, The Millbrook, in Stalybridge, have welcomed back their regular hairdresser after the pandemic restrictions prevented the salon from opening.

It was a very welcome return to The Millbrook for hairdresser Collette who made sure that all of the Residents have been shampooed, re-styled and blown away with their new dos.

All Colleagues commented how lovely it was, having Residents back to their former selves, after so long without a good haircut.

The Residents were so happy, they were all complimenting each other at the dinner tables later that day and comparing hair styles.

One of the Residents said, “I feel so much lighter having all that hair chopped off.”

Another Resident added, “I love my new do”

Claire Jones, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Having Collette back is a big plus for our Residents’ wellbeing. Seeing their smiles and fantastic hairstyles has lifted everyone’s spirits and is brings a sense of normality back.”

“Collette will be a permanent fixture again and the Residents will feel a lot better.”
