Carols in the garden at Roxburgh House care homeThe local Salvation Army kindly did an outdoor visit to West Midlands care home, Roxburgh House.

Residents, who were sat in the warmth of the dining room, were delighted to see them play brass instruments in the garden and playing some of their favourite carols. It was also a lovely, bright and dry day.

Maureen Taylor, who lives at Roxburgh, said, “They played my favourite carol ‘Silent Night’, and my husband’s, ‘Away in a Manger’.”

Fellow Resident Joan Toy remarked, “It made a nice change.”

Home Manager, Linda Wilkes, commented, “It was a very good day and brought the home together as a community. It was nice because some of our Residents recognised faces from the time they were in the Salvation Army.”
