Celebrating all things Africa at The HydeThe Residents at HC-One’s The Hyde care home, in Dorset, enjoyed an African themed day today.

Colleagues and Residents enjoyed wearing masks of a variety of different African animal species including zebras, monkeys and elephants.

The dining room was decorated to look like a jungle scene and Residents had helped to cut out pictures to be displayed on the windows, walls and tables.

One Resident commented, “It was a lovely day and the staff worked very hard.”

All Colleagues, and particularly the agency chef, put a tremendous amount of effort into the day to make it special for Residents including a lunch which everyone enjoyed very much.

Home Manager, Nicola Grinton, commented, “It was lovely to hear the Residents so positive and that they enjoyed their theme day.”

“Even in these difficult times with restrictions the Residents are still able to have fun and enjoy different foods and tastes.”
