Residents at
Kirkby House residential dementia care home, in Westvale, joined in the celebrations for the Euros 2020.
Everyone, Colleagues and Residents alike, were so pleased that England was in the final against Italy so all gathered in the lounge to watch the game.
Plenty of snacks and drinks were served as Residents waved their St George flags and cheered England on.
Unfortunately, the result didn’t quite go England’s way, much to the prediction of one Resident who remarked, “I knew we would lose on penalties!”
Another Resident added, “We should have won!”
But, all in all, everyone had a good time and enjoyed cheering at the first goal. Here’s to next time!
