Cheshire Residents keep fit sitting downResidents at HC-One’s Appleton Manor care home in Stockport are keeping fit in their chairs.

Residents regularly take part in exercise classes, specially tailored to suit the accessibility and mobility needs of all involved.

This includes classes where sitting in your chair is actively encouraged.

The routine is organised by Appleton Manor’s Enhanced Care Coordinator, Tracey.

Her main duty is to assess and prevent the main causes of slips, trips and falls for Residents.

She then comes up with a plan to increase mobility in Residents to keep them on the move and in shape.

Tracey’s latest innovation includes a fun and inclusive workout routine where Residents can stay sitting down.

Appleton Manor Home Manager, Amy Robertson, said: “It’s great fun and a good way to exercise!

“Our Residents really enjoyed themselves.”
