Christmas spirit for Luton ResidentsThis month at Capwell Grange care home, in Bedfordshire, they have been focussing on keeping the Christmas spirit high.

The home’s wellbeing team and Colleagues made it as special as possible, due to the current social restrictions. It was organised for many entrainment acts to take place via video calling; which included singing, dancing and even magic acts.

All the Residents got stuck into making Christmas arts and crafts, sending these to their loved ones.

Deputy Manager, Gwen, loved spreading the cheer and wanted to thank Colleagues for their hard work this year, by treating everyone to a unit Christmas party.

Window visits took place over the Christmas period, giving the Residents so much joy. Zoom calls took place on Christmas day, to connect families with their loved ones and there was even Santa who dropped by to deliver presents to the Residents who enjoyed receiving their gifts and the lively atmosphere, one commented, “I loved my presents given from the home.”

Home Manager, Nicola Berry, remarked, “I loved the dancing! We hope that next Christmas we are able to have our families and Relatives into the home, together again.”
