Team leader Julie, who is a Colleague at HC One’s The Oakes care home, received a heartfelt card from a Relative today.
One of the Huddersfield care home’s Residents recently passed away, and her daughter sent in a lovely card to Julie to thank her for everything she did for her Mum.
Julie has been a member of The Oakes team for 7 years, and it was wonderful for her to receive praise for her knowledge in one of the most beautiful thank-you messages that has come through to the home.
Julie said “we have had thank-you cards to the home before, but I have never received one just to myself, I’m so touched.”
Helping grieving families through difficult times, showing compassion and empathy, whilst remaining professional can be a difficult combination to master, however Julie excels with this.
The words within this card really sums up the feeling of the family and how they felt about Julie. Describing her as an angel and ‘my rock’, giving them all important family time together.
The rest of the team also received a thank-you card too, it was very emotional and a very kind gesture from the Relative.
