Community Christmas for Stevenage ResidentsOn the Newton House Unit, of HC-One’s Woodlands View care home, in Hertfordshire, Christmas is in full swing.

The local school, Camps Hill and Parkwood School, have made some festive cards and decorations, including bobble hats, to spread the Christmas cheer to Residents and Colleagues.

Residents have all enjoyed listening to Christmas music while reading the cards and looking at the homemade decorations from the children. It has given the home a real Christmas spirit and the bobble hats look amazing. See pictured Resident Mavis Jay and Shirley Thurlow enjoying the festivities.

Mavis commented while reading the cards, "How lovely, they are beautiful!"

"It was a lovely festive afternoon," Shirley added.

In turn, the Residents have made their own cards to the school to say thank you and hope to start a pen pal club too.

Deby O'Hare, Home Manager, remarked, “This little act of kindness really lifted the spirits of the Residents and got them into the festive mood!”
