HC One’s April Park care home have been amazed at the community’s help to raise money for their raffle.
With the current pandemic, the Eckington care home’s Christmas raffle looked like it would have to be cancelled.
The homes wellbeing coordinator wrote a message and posted it on the Eckington community Facebook page to see if there was any way of keeping it running.
The response was amazing! The community went above and beyond and the donations started coming in fast.
The Residents loved helping too, by picking out of the prizes donated as to what could go together to be turned into a prize basket.
The generosity and willingness to help was beyond everyone’s imagination. The home would love to say a huge –thank-you’ to everybody who got involved.
The home manager said “April Park is proud to belong to such a selfless community, the acts of kindness shown to our Residents is truly amazing and heart-warming.”
