Community spirit at Henley care homeHC-One’s Thamesfield care home Residents were delighted to receive a wonderful response from their local community after reaching out through a local newspaper.

The Residents at the home were so pleased as they received a variety of kind and thoughtful letters from the members of the local community, lifting everyone’s spirits in the home, after Colleagues at the home contacted the local newspaper in the hopes of people sending over letters or drawings to the Residents to maintain contact.

One member of the local community also kindly donated a selection of puzzle books to the home, for Residents to complete, much to everyone’s pleasure.

The creative minds were flowing as the home then took part in a watercolour paint class together, laughing amongst one another.

Lina Nela, home manager, commented: “It’s so wonderful to know that the community in Henley are thinking of us, it’s great to keep the community spirit alive.”
