County Durham care home Colleagues compete in fundraising challengeColleagues across HC-One’s County Durham care homes, Lothian House and Tenlands, teamed up and challenged each other to see who could raise the most for their respective Residents funds.

Mother and Daughter, Nicola Davison, who is a Nursing Assistant at Tenlands and Teagan Davison who is a Care Assistant at Lothian House, challenged themselves to see who could raise the most for their Residents funds.

Both Nicola and Teagan involved their family and friends, and did some wider fundraising in the community and managed to raise over £1,000 between them, which has been divided equally between the two homes funds.

In addition, Nicola and Teagan’s younger family members and their friends, saved their pocket money until they had enough money to buy every Resident, in both homes, some chocolate and toiletries as Christmas presents.

The local school also got involved and raised £100, which they donated to both homes for Christmas treats.

“It is an absolutely fantastic effort from the two girls,” said Lothian House Home Manager, Jill Carr.
