Coventry care home Resident proud to support The Coventry BeesMichael, a Resident at HC One’s Brandon House care home, shares his love for the Coventry Bees team as they send him a fantastic donation.

Speedway mad Michael has a love for Coventry Bees Speedway team, which everyone at the Coventry care home knows about.

Unfortunately the stadium which the club called home closed in 2016 after hosting speedway events since 1928. The stadium still sits empty and the "Bees family" are desperate for the Bees to ride again.

Michael has followed the Coventry Bees since the 80's where he went to watch them both home and away, and followed his favourite team with everything that they did.

Brandon House staff had managed to take Michael back to the Stadium in 2015 before they closed their doors. This was such a special moment and a memory which Michael will always treasure.

Brandon House are currently holding a competition for staff to make their rooms person-centred. Home Manager Sheryl picked Michael and made an appeal to the Coventry Bees FB community to help.

It was amazing to see the Coventry Bees jump at the chance to help the team decorate, and donated a whole host of items for Michael’s room. The yellow and black makes Michael feel like he is walking back into the Bee Stadium all over again!

Sheryl commented “It was amazing to see the "Bees family" come together for Michael. They delivered, posters, scarfs, books, DVD’s, clothes and more for his bedroom.”

Michael is very happy with his new room, it looks amazing!
