Coventry care home Resident receives first visit since lockdownIan, a Resident at HC One’s Brandon House care home, was able to finally see his son in person for the first time since lockdown began.

Resident Ian Harridine had not met up with his son Michael at the Coventry care home, since March when news of the pandemic started.

Michael used to visit his Dad a couple of times a week and have a beer in the garden if the weather was nice, but sadly this had to stop to ensure everybody’s safety during this very difficult period of time.

Thankfully with lockdown starting to ease, Michael, along with his wife Deb, were able to finally reunite with Ian once again for a cheeky beer in the garden.

Although Ian and Michael have had constant contact via telephone and video calls throughout lockdown, this moment was very special and one they had both been waiting so long to have.

Ian said “I have missed Michael, it’s been great to catch up”.
Colleagues at the home commented “the two of them are like best mates, they love a beer and a catch up. It was so lovely to see them together again”.
