HC One’s Victoria Mews care home had a visit from the ice cream truck today.
Residents enjoyed delicious whippy ice cream, complete with a flake, as they enjoyed ‘a day at the beach’. The ice creams were certainly a big hit with the Residents at the Coventry home.
Colleagues sprayed a beach scene onto some card, played beach sounds on a CD player and played a UK seaside slideshow on the TV to really set the scene for the day.
The Residents really enjoyed the slideshow and pointing out which beaches they had visited in the UK, Skegness being a really popular destination in their day.
Colleagues and Residents shared holiday stories and had a great laugh together, it was a fun day for all.
