Residents have had an afternoon of fun making their very own daffodils as part of their St David’s Day celebrations at HC-One’s Roxburgh House care home in Cradley Heath, West Midlands.
They made fun daffodils using two different methods. Some Residents made their daffodils out of card by cutting star shapes, and then adding buttons and coloured pipe cleaners.
Jean Farmer, a Resident at the home, said: “It reminds me of spring, my favourite season.”
Others drew around their hands onto yellow card to make the flower heads. They then made some stems from green card and fixed these to their back of the daffodils.
One Resident laughed: “What big hands I’ve got!”
The wonderfully creative flowers have been laminated so that they can be put on display throughout spring to brighten up Roxburgh House.
After a morning of crafting daffodils, the Residents relaxed and coloured in St David-themed pictures as they enjoyed a cup of tea.
