Hartford Court care home in Cramlington was transformed in to the beautiful tropical island of Hawaii as team members create a special ‘summer holiday’ for Residents.
The team decided to arrange a special summer holiday for Residents where they would decorate the home like a beautiful holiday resort in Hawaii, Residents and visitors all received their own traditional Lei to wear.
Themed food and beverages were served throughout the day while Residents enjoyed hula dancing, a limbo competition and live entertainment in the home’s garden. The day brought up lots of happy memories of holidays for Residents who enjoyed sharing their favourite stories with each other.
Hartford Court Home Manager, Janice Bell said: “I am pleased everyone had a great time at our Hawaii holiday celebration, the smiles on everyone’s faces said it all.”
