Duffield care home celebrate the harvest festivalResidents and Colleagues at HC One’s Bankwood care home have been celebrating the harvest festival.

The Duffield care home celebrated Harvest Festival on the 2nd October and had a lovely dinner prepared by Lisa the chef.

Lisa made a tasty homemade stew and cobs (or chips) which was followed by a delicious homemade blackberry and apple crumble.

The Residents had great fun posing in the Harvest frame created and took pictures with the Scarecrow.

Residents helped to make a scarecrow which is happily sat in the home, and Colleagues even dressed up as a scarecrow too.

The game for the day was a ‘pin the tail on the donkey’, changed to suit the harvest theme of sticking a carrot on the scarecrows nose! The Resident were blind folded for their go and there was a prize for the nearest sticker placed.

It was lovely to see the smiles on the Residents faces after such a hard time everyone has been going through with the pandemic.
One of the Residents said “it was an amazing day, lots of fun!”
