Duffield care home receive very generous donationHC One’s Bankwood care home have received a £1,000 donation to the home from a family of 4 very kind Relatives today.

Richard, Susan, Andrew and Diane sent the Duffield care home a lovely email praising the home and letting them know they have sent £1,000 to be shared out among the staff.

The Relatives said “the money is a gesture of thanks from our family for all the excellent work that you and your team have done, particularly in these very difficult time. You have done so well to keep the virus out so far.”

The family go on to talk about their mother, who has been a Resident at the home for 5 years, and is very appreciative of the support and care she has received over the years.

During the pandemic the staff have tried to keep Residents in touch with their loved ones as much as possible, as they understand how hard it must be to not be able to see each other.

The staff have done as much as possible to keep families in the loop throughout this strange journey. They have sent out keyrings with photos in and ensuring video calls, phone calls and emails are sent and received as much as possible.

Staff use the ethos that they will care for the Residents as if they were their own family.

All of the staff at Bankwood would like to send a huge thank-you to Richard, Susan, Andrew and Diane for this very generous donation, everybody is so grateful.
