Double celebrations were in order at the Beeches residential care home, in Greater Manchester as not only was it VE Day, but one of the Residents was celebrating her birthday too.
Birthday girl Joan and fellow Residents enjoyed entertainment virtual from Samantha Jones and had a singalong with all the wartime favourites; which also happened to be some of the Residents’ favourite songs.
Everyone was up singing and even had a picture taken with a picture of Winston Churchill, which made everyone smile.
Residents enjoyed cake and drinks throughout the day.
Wellbeing Coordinator, Sade, remarked, “Everyone had a lovely day celebrating VE day with a traditional singalong and everyone was in good spirits!”
