Dunfermline care Residents see the fruits of their labour as greenhouse vegetables sproutResidents at HC-One’s The Beeches care home in Dunfermline planted some vegetables in the homes very own greenhouse just before lockdown and have finally been able to see what has grown inside.

Earlier in the year, Colleagues helped Residents plant some fruit and vegetables so they could place them in the greenhouse for them to grow.

It is the homes first year of having the greenhouse and they were not disappointed. When Residents and Colleagues entered the greenhouse there was some wonderful fresh tomatoes and lettuce growing.

One Beeches care home Resident said: “It’s amazing how they have grown so quickly. I look forward to picking them and seeing what they taste like.”

Colleagues at The Beeches are really pleased with how the greenhouse has engaged Residents and how well the fruit and vegetables have grown. They are looking forward to growing more with Residents in the future.
