Dunstable care home celebrate The Queens 95th birthdayResidents at HC-One’s Ridgeway Lodge care home in Dunstable celebrated the momentous occasion with some afternoon tea, music and a tribute to all things British.

On the morning of the big day, Colleagues at the home decorated the lounges and dining areas with Union Jack buntings, balloons and pictures of Her Majesty.

Residents woke up to a home that was ready to celebrate the Queen’s birthday and many could not wait to get started. First, Residents enjoyed an afternoon tea, with British classics such as scones, tea cakes, sandwiches and of course a hot cup of tea on offer.

Afterwards, Residents gathered in the homes lounge to watch some TV on the birthday and to sing the National Anthem.

Residents really enjoyed the day, especially the wonderful afternoon tea and of course celebrating The Queen’s 95th birthday, who many Residents look up to and admire.

Ridgeway Lodge Home Manager, Sahr Moseray said: “Although we kept the event low key, the Residents all enjoyed themselves.”

Situated in a peaceful residential area of Dunstable, Ridgeway Lodge is a friendly care home with 61 beds, offering residential and residential dementia care.
