Easter weekend celebrations delight Nottingham care home ResidentsResidents at HC-One’s Willow Brook care home in Nottingham enjoyed a lovely buffet, a bonnet competition and a classic egg and spoon race this Easter.

On Good Friday, a local Tesco branch donated some lovely Easter eggs for Residents to enjoy, but only after their buffet. A lovely buffet was prepared by the home chef with many classic savoury treats on offer as well as a lovely Easter cake baked by the Home Manager.

Easter games were played following lunch with the staff taking part in an egg and spoon race with the Residents cheering them on. Bingo was played and prizes were won by Residents Ray and Dorothy, who were over the moon with their Easter egg gifts.

Later in the afternoon, Colleagues held an Easter bonnet competition. Residents created some beautifully themed hats and a parade was held with Dorothy winning best hat for the ladies and Ray for the men

Residents thoroughly enjoyed the day, playing bingo and especially the egg and spoon race amongst staff, which gave them all a good laugh.

“It has been lovely seeing all the Residents and the staff have fun together,” said Willow Brook Home Manager, Marie Duke Parker.

Located in a peaceful residential community of Carlton in Nottingham, Willow Brook is a friendly 49 bed care home, offering residential and residential memory care, for those living with dementia.
