Edinburgh care home Residents craft customised soap barsResidents at HC-One’s Murrayfield House care home in Edinburgh recently enjoyed an arts and crafts afternoon where they made their very own customised soap bars.

Residents used tissue paper, artificial flowers, feathers and some glitter. The soap making activity was a big hit and Residents at Murrayfield House really enjoyed themselves, all whilst maintain social distancing.

Murrayfield House Resident John Anderson did a lovely and careful job of creating his own soap and Resident Maisie Scott was a whizz of expertise with the flower petals, both adored the end results.

Amanda Cooper, Murrayfield House Home Manager said: “It was lovely to see the chatter between them as they created their own soap empire. Resident Jean Blackhall was completely mesmerized by the process and proud as punch with her own little soap bar.”

Each Resident at Murrayfield House designed their own clear bag to put the soap into.

This activity is something that will be kept up in the future as Residents commented it was enjoyable, fun and a wonderful afternoon.
