Edinburgh care home host Halloween biscuit decorating partyResidents at HC-One’s Murrayfield House care home in Edinburgh recently enjoyed an afternoon decorating biscuits and getting in the mood for a spooky Halloween.

Colleagues at Murrayfield House gathered Residents in the homes dining room, socially distanced, and showed them all the Halloween decorations that had been put up ready for Saturday.

Residents John Anderson and Maisie Scott loved the decorations and had to get a photo took in front of them to show their loved ones. “They did a good job decorating the room”, said John.

Colleagues and Residents then set to the task of decorating some biscuits that the homes kitchen staff had made, with some spooky toppings. Everyone got involved and loved getting their hands messy decorating the biscuits, which they would all enjoy later in the day with a cup of tea or coffee.

Amanda Cooper, Murrayfield House Home Manager said: “It is lovely to see Residents taking part in a group activity that they can still do whilst socially distanced.”
