Egg-citing times at Hexham care homeChicks were chirping at HC-One’s Acomb Court care home in Hexham as Residents and team members welcomed new life in to the world.
The care home received ten eggs and an incubator, everyone eagerly watched as the eggs begun to hatch. Acomb Court was pleased to welcome nine healthy chicks to the community, Residents prepared the chicks next home and made sure that they were warm, fed and watered.

Every day the chicks would enjoy a tour of the home and visiting Residents in their own rooms, everyone commented on how cute and fluffy the chicks were. One Resident said: “Having the chicks hatching here brought back happy memories of my childhood, thank you so much.”

Located on Maidens Walk, Acomb Court care home offers short and long term care for old ladies and gentlemen that require residential care, nursing care and residential memory care for those living with dementia.
