Falkirk care home Colleagues host Halloween drawing competition for local childrenAfter having organised competitions in the local community before, Colleagues at HC-One’s Kinnaird Manor care home in Falkirk thought it would be a good idea to create a Halloween drawing competition for the local children to get involved in.

Colleagues created a spooky post box and placed it outside the front entrance so that children could drop their drawings off as they walked by. During the present time, Kinnaird Manor feel it is important to try and keep their Residents connected to the community that they live in.

After two weeks, Colleagues collected the picture and Residents got to work choosing which pictures they felt should be placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd. They also had an additional prize of the ‘Admins Choice Award’ to include office staff in this event.

The Residents absolutely loved seeing all the drawings and all the effort that had been put in to creating them.

Kinnaird Manor Resident, Helen Neilson said: " It's a wonderful feeling to know that these children and their parents have taken time to make pictures for us it really is special.”

There were certificates awarded to the winners along with a bag of Halloween treats.
